Give Thanks to Nature Photo Contest 2020
During this challenging year, the number of visitors to the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve increased substantially. We've been delighted to see so many children enjoying and exploring the Preserve's trails, fields, and streams with their parents and friends — which inspired us to open our annual photo contest to young nature enthusiasts for the first time.
We received a record number of contest submissions from photographers of all ages. While it is always challenging to choose the top three photos, our judges had a particularly hard time this year because of the many beautiful captures of the Preserve. We thank REI Princeton for their continued support + sponsorship of the photo contest each year — and the bent spoon, JaZams and LiLLiPiES for gift cards for younger photographers. Most of all, we thank everyone who submitted a photograph for our photo contest. We continue to be amazed by the beauty of nature that is found throughout Princeton's beloved Mountain Lakes Preserve.
