While most native plants lie dormant in the winter season, this invasive honeysuckle vine (Lonicera japonica) continues to produce and store energy throughout the winter season.

We invite you to join us for a Day of Service at the Mountain Lakes Preserve, in honor of Martin Luther King Day. Come free some trees with us!

Volunteers will work as a team to remove invasive vines and shrubs as part of the ongoing Woodland Restoration efforts being made at the Mountain Lakes Preserve. Meet our new Natural Resources Manager, Anna Corichi, who will share some Winter ID tips for identifying native and invasive species during dormancy. These are tips that you can apply to your own landscape at home.

To sign up for this event: please fill out our volunteer form online, or email us directly at info@fopos.org. We look forward to working with you!
