MARC A. MATSIL TO SPEAK AT Sunday April 27, 2003, at Mountain Lakes House - 3 pm Mr. Matsil is RSVP by April 23, 2003 to: Marc Matsil was appointed Assistant Commissioner for Natural and Historic Resources in March, 2002. Prior to that he served as Chief of the NYC Parks Natural Resources Group, the nation's largest urban ecology program. Before joining NRG, Marc was a natural resources specialist for the U.S. National Park Service, including five years as a biologist at Noatak, Gates of the Arctic, and Aniakchak National Parks in Alaska. Marc is the recipient of several awards for his contributions, including the Society for Ecological Restoration International Sperry Award, the Chevron-Times Mirror North America Conservation Prize, and the U.S. EPA/Environmental Law Institute National Wetlands Award.
