FRIENDS OF PRINCETON OPEN SPACE ANNUAL MEETING Sunday April 28, 2002 Sally Dudley, former Executive Director of the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions (ANJEC)*, will be the featured speaker at the Annual Meeting of the Friends of Princeton Open Space on Sunday, April 28 at 3:00 PM at Mountain Lakes House, 57 Mountain Ave., Princeton Township. Her topic will be Partnerships for Preservation. Effective land preservation is an important and never-ending job. It takes a combination of comprehensive land use planning, specific acquisitions, regulation and long-term stewardship involving citizens, elected and appointed officials. Partnerships can help citizens and local groups take full advantage of the wide variety of techniques available for long term open space preservation. Ms. Dudley will outline some approaches to land conservation and describe how environmental commissions can help address local land use and open space protection issues. In addition to Ms. Dudley's address there will be the election of new members of the Friends' Board of Trustees who will serve until April 2005. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the meeting. |
