An estimated 70 people cleaned a four-mile stretch of the D&R Canal from Harrison St. in Princeton to the Port Mercer bridge at Quaker Bridge Rd. (near Route 1). We think about 45 participants were from the university, and the rest from the township. At least five children participated.

Results included two huge piles of garbage (~100 bags) to be collected from Turning Basin park in Princeton and from the Port Mercer parking lot, including:

  - 20" TV
  - computer monitor
  - lawn recliner
  - kitchen stool
  - office chair
  - truck tire
  - 14' metal bar with wires attached

FOPOS and PUWW would like to express thanks and appreciation to all the participants and to the many local business that contributed to make this event possible.  These include (not a complete list--if you know someone who's missing, please email ):

The weather was beautiful and a good time was had by all.
